Most people are in denial about their safety and Bad Guys in general. It's easier to pretend those things don't happen than to face the fact that it's a great big dangerous world out there and bad things happen to good people.
I realize that it's real cause in high school I had to run for my life from bullets. Now it's like an everyday occurrence. I'm not even shocked when someone I know dies anymore because it's so common.
No, they do not--most people assume that this kind of violence is not real, only something dreamed up by Hollywood, sad to say.
shootings should be outside of the norm -- we see a lot of movies where shootouts occur, but few people experience them in real life
Because the majority of people don't experience or see that in their lives at all... EXCEPT for in the movies.
well according to the bible we are living in the last day read mr.13:4.5.6 so things will continue to get worse all over the world

You're reading When there is a shooting or a shootout, why do people say "oh my God, it was like something out of the movies!"? Do they not realize that this kind of stuff happens in real life and on a pretty regular basis in some communities?
