If you have a Blaupunkt CDC-M5 compact disc changer do you need a Blaupunkt radio to interface with it to make it work? The changer mounts in the trunk or under the seat if you have room, so it is isolated from the dash, and there are no controls on it.

Yes, the changer needs to be hooked up to a head unit (radio).

Check the instructions to see whether it must be a Blaupunkt, or if you can use another brand (in case you don't want to buy Blaupunkt).

- If I go Blaupinkt with the (radiowise) would it work with any quality speaker, Morants, Pioneer, etc or it would sound best with only Blaupunkt speackers too. And on an older car I am restoring would that help the resale if I sell it if I ever get tired playing with it?

- I'd suggest you visit Crutchfield.com, they're a really good resource for these kind of questions and sell and service their gear for as long as you own it. I dunno if they can help with the resale value question but the audio stuff they're expert on.
