Do you think the american criminal justice system reflects a consensus or conflict model of law?

Funny I was just reading about these in class. In my opinion, I think its a mixture of both oddly enough. I do believe that the ruling class does like to exercise the control over what they call the "have nots", but at the same time people agree with the conflict view of crime, so then it someone becomes a consensus view. I mean who are people going to agree with? The ones who have the power and money. It might sound stupid but I guess that is kind of how I perceived it in my mind. Good question! +3

Like the composition of this question, the American justice is so unnecessarily complicated that it represents nothing even remotely close to common sense. It's a mess and an embarrassment.
