    It was written by Fred Fassert from The Regents in 1961.It reached number 13 on the charts.

    Jin Jang is right. The song was originally recorded in 1958 -- that's why it's only in mono. Then released in 1961.
    The BEACH BOYS considered it a "cool" oldie and did their own spin in 1965.

    While I'm a giant B. Boys fan, I prefer the original for its "roots" rock and doo-wop.
