Fairly dangerous. But not for the reason you think.. There's a place in Maine called "Moose Alley" and it is known for people driving and hitting moose with their car, which since the moose stands so high off the ground their antlers go right through the windshield causing very serious injury or death.

Moose are very dangerous if you encounter them at the wrong time of year. A moose cow in the spring with a new calf won't think twice about stomping you to death if you don't get out of her way, and a bull moose in rutting season is just full of testosterone. Here in Canada we tend to stay out of their way, and just as slevin01 said we try not to run them over either.

Moose ,in general,try to avoid mankind. I have seen them many times in the wild and they leave the area,even with their young. With their domain shrinking because of man they are more used to us. They are dangerous when you shoot them.Many years ago my father was moose hunting and he wounded one.The moose charged at my father,and he barely had time to get off a shot to kill it.

if you find one in your living room back out quietly and call the wildlife agency. Moose are dangerous, moose kept from watching Oprah, even more so.

Just don't ever get near one, and you'll be fine. Take a picture, whatever, just, don't approach.

And YAY for using the correct plural for Moose!!!
