  • If your girl is anything like my daughter, she would hate it! When we got her glasses, she wanted to try on every single pair in the shop, look at herself with them on, take pictures, and select a really expensive pair with a designer label. We spent a huge amount of money on getting her two pairs of glasses and she still won't wear them all the time! Part of the issue is that an 18-year old girl is likely to think of her glasses as an accessory. Buying glasses that are massively discounted suggests thinking about them for their utility value. You simply don't buy clothes, accessories, or jewelry for 18-year old girls at places that do massive discounts and expect them to be grateful. Take my advice -- don't do it. She will probably hate the glasses and you for bying them in this way!
  • never heard of the site, i might check it out for myself though, as i will need some new frames soon. it's hard to buy glasses without trying them on. I'm sure the website has quality products though, there's really not too much to glasses and lenses except the fit. Don't get a lightweight lens without trying on frame first though because they have to measure where your center of vision is for the clearest part of the lens. I always get regular plastic because you can see better out of them. If you do order online make sure you know the general measurments for how wide her face is and (less importantly) the distance from eyes to the ears from front to back. good question, hope she likes her prestent
