Question

I've been having trouble getting to sleep at night. I'm tired, but when I go to bed, I just lie awake. I can't think of anything that's bothering me that might contribute to this. Is there anything I can do to help myself fall asleep?

i used to have many troubles with this but i did have things on my mind.

what was recommended was, reading a book, doing exercises before you go to bed, or some mild tablets.

i wouldn't really rely on tablets as i became a bit too dependant on them. you've got to be careful with them if you do.

  • Two things will put me to sleep when I am having a problem. One is reading and the other is to watch t.v. The more interesting the programme the quicker I will fall asleep. Also, make sure that your room is not too warm.

Don't drink caffeinated beverages after 2 PM. Don't watch TV and try to sleep. Find a radio station that plays easy-listening music and turn to it when you lay down.

A friend of mine says that Lunesta, A prescription pill works great. It's non-addictive and does nothing except make you tired according to him. Everything I know of is either addictive or leaves you grogy in the mornig.

Make sure that you are getting plenty of exercise, don't drink caffeine a few hours before bed time.
