  • Since my husbands death, retirement is no longer an open option for me... I have to work unless I win the lotto.
  • As soon as it's finacially feasible. I'm hoping that I can retire in my mid-50s (as opposed to waiting until my 60s). Assuming I keep my job, I'll have 30 years in and quite a good chunk of change in my retirement account. I can't say now (since that's about 30 years from now) exactly what age, but I'd like to be as young as possible! (I hate working)
  • surely in my 50's, i'm still young, don'T have a job and all that stuff.....
  • I retired at 50 due to strong inducements from my employer. I was offered a carrot, a monthly pension beginning the month after accepting retirement and shown a stick, a planned layoff in which my job could easily be moved to another division of the company. I took the bird in the hand and moved out of California. I plan to retire from my current occupation at 65.
  • We are prediciting 58 :) I hope so.
  • did that quite a few months ago :)
  • According to the Federal Government, I am eligible to retire now, but I haven't been working at a job outside the home for over 25 years.
  • On track to retire at 55 without the help of Social Security.
  • If I keep on my current schedule I will retire at death.
