  • Everybody has their own interpretation of the bible. Priests and evangelists uses it suit their needs. My answer is, stop believing this mambo jambo.
  • No, no one goes to heaven until the second coming of Jesus. We lie dead in the ground until Jesus comes for his people, both living and dead. This time between when you die and when Jesus comes will feel like an instant to you.
  • My understanding of the following passages from the King James version says that We lie asleep until Jesus' second coming. John 11: 23Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. 24Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. 25Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live; 1Thessalonians 4: 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; 17then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
  • Back when the bible was being written there was many belief systems already in place. The Pharisees and the Sadducees were just two groups back in the time of Christ on Earth. Today the world is flooded with religious doctrines and some believe there is no Hell. You simply die and then God only resurrects the people he likes. However others believe you must serve time in Hell prior to moving on to Heaven. The Catholics have a places called Purgatory for people who deserve punishment but not Hell and Paradise for people who deserve reward but not Heaven. I am not Catholic. But your statement, "To be absent from the body means to be present with God..." no. My belief system is to be in the presence of my God is the day I stand trial. God is your creator and your judge.
  • from my understanding "God" is one of a thousand spirits gambling for control of our spirits when we die, like slaves. I prefer to be free to travel the universe unbound by physical limitaions, after all if you have no faith in "God" he leaves you to who or whatever you beleive in, so I choose something greater than a jealous, judge to determine my future or fate. besides I prefer to lean away from the ritualistic.
