Yhtomitzlots and Cantras both had good ideas. Another possibility is a ground loop of some sort that's confusing the power supply in the TV.
If the other two ideas don't work, try disconnecting the comcast box from your TV, and then try turning it on again.
It is possible that the remote control is not set on the TV mode. Check it.
Is it plugged in? They may have unplugged it while they installed, for safety.
Seriously, adding a cable box shouldn't do anything to the TV.
Oh, and, are you using the remote, or the TV button? because the remote might be programmed for the box instead.
