  • I think it all depends on what type of workout you do and the duration of your work-out session. Rememeber also to eat well as a good well-balanced low-fat diet is essential for weight loss.
  • YES- if you don't increase your food intake, and DO increase your moving around, you will lose weight. How much you lose depends on how much you do. The nutrition goes without saying.
  • It will be tough but I think your pretty tough, right? Well, just eat fruits and vegetables (some meat won't hurt for protein) and if you work hard, you could pull it off. It did for me.
  • I just lost 40 pounds, and for the first 25 I didn't work out that often. Diet and nutrition. No refined sugar and flour. Lean meats for protien. Eat a good breakfast, it keeps your metabolism up for the rest of the day. Eat 6 small meals, every 2 hours. Moderation is everything.
  • If two days a week is your limit for exercise, you are going to seriously need to consider your diet. Much less fat, lots of fruits and vegetables. Pastas are also great, will give you a lot of energy. Avoid pizza though. As far as the actual exercising goes, try to run at least a mile on each of those days along with another rigorous workout. You will need to push hard to get results. Just don't exceed your limits. Also most importantly, DRINK LOTS OF WATER. Hydrate as much as possible. Hope this was helpful.
  • You need to watch your caloric intake. An online diet and exercise journal like FitDay (www.fitday.com) can help you track what you eat, as well as how you're progressing with your exercise and weight loss. Basically you need to figure out how many calories per day your body needs to maintain your current weight (your weight multiplied by 10 or 12 - this is your calorie range). So take that number (for me it's 2100 so I'll use that as an example) and subtract 500 calories per day in order to lose 1 lb per week. So for me to lose a pound a week, I can eat 1600 calories per day. One pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories, so with a 500 calorie deficit every day, in 7 days I will have burned off one pound of fat. It's important not to drop your calories too low, or your body will think you are starving and you won't lose any weight (except for maybe some muscle mass, which is NOT what you want to do since more muscle=more fat burning power). Another thing to do is cut out any junk food, processed foods high in sodium (they will make you retain water), SUGAR, refined carbohydrates, and sodas. Focus on whole foods; meat, cheese, veggies, fruit, etc, and make sure you get 64 oz of water every day. I know a lot of people are wary of low carb diets, but I'm doing Atkins and it's really working for me. You may want to consider looking into it. www.atkins.com
  • A little bit is FAR better than none at all. You will just have to focus more on the foods you are taking in, and portion control.
