If you look at it for just making more overtaking a possibility, maybe. But when you consider how concerned the FIA claim to be about reducing costs, why would they ask the teams to add KERS when it requires costly re-engineering to fit it into the car, complicated and expensive weight redistribution to work out of the cars, those really heavy batteries and the fact that those batteries will need to be replaced after each race. So how GREEN is that? What a waste? Add to that the reduced hours of wind tunnel and testing they are allowed and it will get worse next year, and it seems like a cruel joke to make the teams add over 100 pounds and saddle them with the expense of one use batteries while claiming to be green and budget minded.
