If this is a recent development, and she has not gone into her first heat cycle-she could have a urinary tract infection. If you have not noticed an increased drinking of water or her not eating as much or sleeping a lot-she may well be pregnant. If you have noticed these other signs, it would be a good idea to get her to a vet for a better diagnosis. Cats generally have a pregnancy of around 63 days. If your kitty is getting a large belly and swollen nipples, she is probably in the mid to late couple of weeks of her due date. If she is starting to clean off the hair on her nipples then she is closer to one week from her due date. Hope this helps some, good luck.

Gee, do you remember her yowling a lot a little while back? Perhaps she disappeared for a couple of days? A few stray cats hanging around and perhaps yowling too? That would be about when she was in heat so if you can make a really good estimate of how long ago that was then you can make an estimate on when she is due because she sure sounds pregnant! Onsanzabarsands is right about 63 days. Near the end of her pregnancy she will start finding odd places to rest in - she is trying to find a safe haven away from noise and fuss to have her kittens in. Having said that I knew a cat that had her kittens in the middle of the lounge room floor during a party of about 40 people. Some cats have no sense of modesty.

G'day Sherry, Thank you for your question. It is quite likely that she is. After three weeks, a pregnant cat's nipples turn pink and they start filling with milk after 6 weeks. Your cat's belly will grow noticeably larger after 5 weeks. I would make an appointment with the vet to conform it as soon as possible. My cat is in late stages of pregnancy too. She all of a sudden started to yowl for the last 2 days off and on, kinda like she is in heat. Has anyone ever seen this behavior before?

yea a couple weeks back my cat aned the other neighborhood cats were making this weird noise.i dont let her out much because shes very young and this isnt something i wanted to happen. well one day i came home and she wasnt here i looked all aroung for her and couldnt find her.the next morning she showed up but i didnt pay much attention because a lot of the other cats try to fight her. anyway prior to that she was very tiny now im starting to notice her stomach is a little rounder and her nipples are swelling. is it awkward for me to feel scared for her?
