Help answer this question below.
That's a rather childish way of reacting to an incident that clearly hasn't occurred before in the five months you've been here.
How much enjoyment have you gotten out of this site?
How much have you paid for it?
Honestly, do you think they are, right now, hoping we leave, or trying to fix it?
How about we give them a day or two?
I am sure they are not. If they want to keep the site alive, they need the users here. The revenue comes from advertising. Advertisers aren't going to pay for a site with no eyeballs looking at their ads. Most ads pay by the page view or the click on the ad's link. So no viewers, no $$$.
My guess is that a server or load balancer has failed, and it may take some time to get a replacement. It would be nice if the staff would post some sort of notice letting users see that they are aware of the severity of the problems and telling when they expect to be able to resolve it.
I know it is extremely annoying. This is the first time I have even been able to get near a question since halfway through yesterday
I am sure the staff are doing their best this situation must be even more aggravating for them than it is for us.
In over 2-1/2 years AB has not had as many problems nor the longevity of problems experienced this past weekend. We need to all realize that for a free site, we receive many hours of enjoyment and should be a little more patient until the problem(s) are rectified.
Well it looks that way lol
I have a feeling they are not even trying at this point. I think most everything is being done by demand media and they are off fixing other sites at the moment.
It's a great web site and not to mention it is free, They must be working on it I just wish they would post something telling us what is going on.
Many AB members have asked Qs on this issue!
I beginning to believe they are.
hahaha, everyones acting like its the end of the world. you people are hilarious. CALM DOWN! its just a glitch it'll pass
If they are, they're only trying to get rid of the impatient users who apparently need something to complain about to be happy
maybe ....and they seem to succeed as I'm now semi-retired from the side.....
One would think so. The website is more popular than they expected therefore they cannot keep up with it. I think it has caught them by surprise. Don`t worry, they`ll catch up.
Surely they won't think so...There's some problem and we must try to understand their situation..
Answerbag is a business same as any other business.
We the users get just points for our participation.
But without us users the business part of AB will fail.
So AB must be doing all it can to keep us stay put.
Whatever glitches have been there must have happened beyond the control of the AB computer engineers.
But they did fix it in a day's time - except for the speed.
You must appreciate that.
Or they are trying to expand it?
Time to go back to Y!A.
I think the government and the religious right aren't too hot on the answers that are appearing on this site, and so are sabotaging it.

After my vigorous moaning AB have fixed the log in issues. A job well done, wouldn't you agree?

When I'm composing a question, the "add description" link doesn't work. Have you had this problem?

Why are some of my questions automatically removed when I log out, then automatically reinstated when I next log in?
