Is there a music theory course out there that is geared toward someone that already knows how to play by ear?

Not really. Either way...its still the same stuff. I think I understand your question. Being able to play by ear will give you a little advantage...but music theory isnt all about how to play...its 'what' you are playing. A decent grasp of theory will only make you a better player. Good luck!!! :)

I can't really answer your question, sorry. But I know some theory but given a choice, I'd rather be able to play by ear. I respect those with that ability.
