We used to play a game at my school called fly. You'd grab sticks and put them in a line with gaps inbetween them and you had to step inbetween the sticks. If your foot touched a stick you were out and if you missed a gap you were out. The was a fly who went last after all the players who would pick up a stick and put it at the end. The gaps would get so big that you'd be leaping to the next gap.

We played "work up" in baseball. Also, 500 in baseball. 100 for catching a fly, 75 for catching on one bounce 50 for catching on two bounces 25 for getting/catching it on a roll. Country school had all grades so this was played by all the kids at recess both boys and girls.
