I think that instead of bailing out banks, the governments should give �1000000 to each citizen. That way they could either save the money (bail out the banks) or spend it (kick start the economy). What do you think?

Giving the money to us to do with as we please is a good idea, but $1 mill per is excessive...given cash, we will spend it, lol...

Sounds good on paper, but I'm sure if they did that, they'd also be able to levy a hefty tax on it, too.

Cahs handouts result in huge expansion of the money supply and inflation while, if stimulating the economy at all, generate only a brief blip in the GDP. They have already be tried and failed. Your plan would generate $200 trillion dollars in new debt, devaluing the dollar to be worth a nickle. Populism is not usually the best way to run a country.
