This varies from dog-to-dog. Color receptors (called "Cones" in the eye because of their roughly cone shape and ability to see a spectrum)tend to be more rare in dogs in general (hence the myth that dogs are color blind). Opposite to color receptors are "Rods" which simply perceive light and its relative intensity but not its spectrum. These tend to dominate dog vision in general. But as I said, these are generalizations and do not account for all dogs and all breeds.
