It definitely had an environmental message, but I doubt M. Night Shamalan would call it an agenda. It seemed to be saying that systems sometimes create antibodies to rid themselves of anything that may be causing it harm, and we have not taken care of this planet. But if you look at M. Night's other movies, none of them have a serious 'agenda' or they never feel like he's standing on his soapbox, delivering us a serious message. Feel more like just a hollywood film technique. Signs=Aliens can be killed with water. Sixth Sense=Dead people are everywhere, and so on. Unlike Michael Moore for example.
