  • I've been taking nexium 40mg bid for almost two years. they prescribed it for reflux and ulcers. the smell of the pill makes me sick. but it works.
  • Yes. My wife had to take it twice a day, (40 mg. x 2) for sores on her esophagus. It worked great, until her insurance company decided they wouldn't cover it anymore, so now she can't take it, ( the cost is astronomical). Now she is back to hurting again. We just love HUGE, PROFITABLE insurance companies!
  • Yes, but I would worry about it being used for a year. The typical amount of time should be 4 to 8 weeks...then re-evaluated by MD. Due to the expense...many insurance companies won't cover Nexium. How does the company make any sales I wonder. You would think they would decrease the price so that insurance would cover it. Nobody is going to pay out of pocket either. Prilosec is a good and very cheap alternative!!!!
  • Yes, for terrible reflux, indigestion, and vomiting. But only needed it for less than a month. Prilosec is a good and cheap alternative.
