Why do pens disappear?

I put them behind my ear, never to be seen again.

I don't know. But I have a heck of a time finding them.

They feel they deserve better than what you are writing with them so they go on strike.

They stop pulling their weight, I toss them and the others REVOLT! +5

They all have hidden little tiny feet. They just walk away. Truthfully in my life it is because customers keep them after writing a check or signing the credit card reciept.

because of the dissappearing ink inside them ? ,or,,,they all got rounded up and thrown in the state PEN ???.............they are in the PENalty box ?..... they are in PENdora's box ?...... they stole your PENtion , and ran.??.......they are busting ghosts at pen state ?...... they fell in an oPEN hole ?.... they went to live with their dad (sean PEN?) .... they joined the elements in the PENtagram ?.... they realized they are mightier than the sword and went to way........ or......they were just tired of being "stationary" ;-)
