What is an appropriate discipline for a 10 year old who is generally a good kid, yet gets upset and stomps around at even the slightest issues. If he's asked to do something (ie. change our of SHORTS because it is 45 degrees) he stomps

    One more stomp and there's no t.v tonight, and then keep taking more things away and mean it.

    Why do mothers overdress their boys just because it's cold out? If he wants to be cold let him be cold.
    Besides that I don't know what you should do because I don't know if these "slightest issues" have purpose or if you're just micromanaging him. Maybe you're bossy too much and pushing him over the edge? You have to give him some freedom to make up his own mind.

    Assuming you do not believe in physical punnishment, I would suggest taking things away from him( toys, tv, games, movies or outing) or having him write a paper on why this behavior is not appropriate.

    Also, do you ever watch Super Nanny, I think there are some really "productive punnishments" on there.
