Help answer this question below.
I don't know which is most helpful. I will usually skip a question unless I believe I know an answer to it. But if a question has gone unanswered for a long while, I may offer encouragement but admit I don't know the answer, just so it gets some activity and pops back up on the current activity radar. My thinking is somebody may see the activity and supply a good answer thanks to it.
depending on the person
i may say i have no idea what the answer is
other's i'll try to give a half assed answer that hopefully has something to do with the question
Do those who insult the Question/Questioner realize they are also insulting those who answer the question sincerely? Or are they clueless?

You're reading IF you don't know the answer for a question, are you tell straight away "NO" to it? Or not attempting it !! which one is appropriate? Is it not appropriate to attend it? Is it not evident that your read the answer and know something about it?
