Click "start" in the lower left hand corner and select "control panel"
Double-click on the "power options" icon.
Click the "advanced" tab"
Change the "when I close the lid of my computer" drop box to "do nothing".
Click "apply", then click "OK".
Viola!

On my x50z asus laptop i had to press power s/w tens of times sometimes three imes and some other times from first time to get my laptop on,bearing in mind that it actsthe same thing when i use express gate s/w which means that the problem is away from po

I plugged my computer into a station that was running 230v power. It will no longer turn on of course. I would like to know what will need to be replaced to repair it. I was thinking it would be the whole power supply, am I correct?

Lightning struck near my house last night causing my accidentally plugged in laptop to spark at the place where it was plugged in. the laptop works but refuses to charge. Is this an internal problem or a problem with the power cord?

When I use My Laptop (IBM T40) it goes all FRIZZ! So I have to turn it off by pressing the power button!Why My Laptop goes Frizz?
