    Stepper

Click "start" in the lower left hand corner and select "control panel"

Double-click on the "power options" icon.

    Click the "advanced" tab"

Change the "when I close the lid of my computer" drop box to "do nothing".

    Click "apply", then click "OK".

    Viola!
