How does my heatiing unit actualy take heat out the air anyway? will putting a large magnifying glass help make it more efficient or effective?

    If you have a heat pump it can work both ways. That is to say in the winter it will move heat into the house and in summer it will move heat from your home to the outside.

    Law of physics. Heat will always move to warm the colder object. The more heat available the more efficient. So yet impractical, a large magnifier would help.
