Because they generally consist of ions in solution, electrolytes are also known as ionic solutions, salts are considered electrolytes in an aqueous solution. from the list above you could deduce that the answer would have to be an ionic compound that breaks up in a solution. so the only compound containing a metal would be NaCl. hence b is the correct answer.
