Does reading and answering the questions on AB make you feel: A. Better for helping out a person with a problem. B. Smarter because of some of the dumb answers you may read. C. Happier with your life after reading some of the problems other people have?

    Out of those three choices, it's A.

    I never feel better about reading dumb answers. I cringe inside and hope no one believes the bad ones are good.

    Same for reading about someone's problems. I never feel good or happy when someone tells us about something bad. I've cried when I've read about the intense hurt and heartache people experience. Sometimes, Answerbag is all about pain. I marvel at the way people triumph over the most god-forsaken circumstances and carry on with living.

    I like to help people, of course. That's a given, and probably the primary motivating force behind my answering questions. The other reason? I like to write and Answerbag provides a perfect platform.
