I'm not sure what you mean by fastest, but I believe the Saturn V rocket has the record for most horsepower (160,000,000). The Space shuttle (basically all space craft) can reach speeds in excess of 17,500 mph to match the speed of the Earth's rotation which is needed to achieve orbit. So far the SR-71 Blackbird still holds the record as fastest airplane. Although its advertised speed is Mach 3.3 (over 4000 mph) its still believed that the actual top speed is classified to this day. A GPS device used 24 satelites in orbit to calculate its exact spot on the planet. Its currently not possible to travel to the sun. It would be a suicide mission anyway because you would burn up thousands of miles before you reach it. But given technology could build a spacecraft capable of making the trip, it would take over three years to get there at 24000mph which was the speed Apollo 11 traveled to get to the moon.
