With some companies yes, others no. I believe the law mandates paid breaks but not a paid lunch. If your companies pay your lunch consider yourself lucky. Mine does.
It usually does however some places that pay an hourly wage may not factor a lunch break into the 8 hour day.

depends.. but most places yeah.
work for 7 1/2. then a 30 min. lunch break.
at least here in norway that's normal :P
I am a civil service, salaried employee, my office is being used to film a movie for a couple of nights. The movie company wants to pay me.
