Start with only kitten food, then gradually mix more and more adult food in with it. Same thing works with dogs.
i know dogs at that age can still eat puppy food, i dont know about cats. maybe its just the brand or flavor you are giving him. try to switch it up or start to mix in the adult food little by little with the kitty food.

You're reading My cat is just a bit above 1 years old, and he throws up when i give him adult food but not when i give him kitten food. Should i be concerned?

Great answer, with any change in pet food it has to be done gradually........otherwise it will cause stomach upset.
