I retired at 55. I golf, garden, read ,cook and in the summer go to the beach. I spend the winter if Florida and after 36 years of high stress and 60 hour work weeks do not miss work at all.
No but I will. I am going to be retired at the ripe age of 49
I was medically retired at the age of 38. AB and being a stay at home father/grandfather fills my days.
No one really retires.
Even after the formal retirement there are post retirement occupations to keep a person busy.
Anyone with nothing to do after retirement will sort of crazy with boredom.
So if anyone says that they retired early or late - just don't believe them.
They are active in some other sphere of life.
My parents did. They've gotten crazy-bored almost to the point of being unbearable.
Seriously. They've been retired for about 15 years and I think they need jobs. Spend most of their day being passive-aggressive to one another, playing games, and trying to give financial advice to their kids.
