If you could find the extra money, would you hire a cook, cleaner or gardener to do occasional chores around the house so you had more free time or just because you don't like particular jobs?

No.. actually, I enjoy doing things at home. So, I'll save the extra money for a vacation instead of hiring unneeded help.

- Yes, I agree with that but I don't enjoy ALL the jobs around home and sometimes (in fact quite often) simply don't have time to do everything. For example, I have quite a big garden, I like gardening, but the weeding has got away on me. But I do find it hard to hand over money for something that I know I'm quite capable of doing myself.

- I love gardening, and have a big garden when the weather allows it here. Hate weeding, but it's good for me (the exercise of it), so I never ask help for it.

I'd hire a cleaning service just so that I can spend more time with my family.

- If I was making more money than I am now I think I would hire a cleaner now and then. Mostly I find it's the bigger projects - the garden and the back-up of washing in the winter etc. that I find the most frustrating. The other side of it is that in New Zealand it is fairly uncommon to have domestic help unless you're in a top income bracket and I'm not all that comfortable with the idea on that level.

- Yeah, I can't really hire anyone. My family makes the most of our time together by cleaning together anyway. The music is going, and we're "spending" time together that way.
