  • Why don't you try for high heeled shoes and shirts with parallel stripes. Also chose a hair style that helps you look taller.
  • Hi, Wow this really is interesting. I'm also a 17 yr old girl who's height is 5'3, and I'm trying to increase my height too. (lol) Anyway, well... until last year, I was only about 156 cm tall. I tried really hard to grow taller- and as a result, I grew about 4 cm taller ^^ although I'm still a bit short.. T-T Anyway, here's what I did: 1. First of all, the easiest- sit up straight. it will instantly make you look taller, he he :P But this isn't the only reason why you should have a correct posture. keeping your back straight straightens the spine, which actually CAN increase your height by about 1~3 cm within a few months. Even when you go to sleep, you should be in a correct posture and shouldn't crouch. 2. When you wake up in the morning spend about 10 minutes stretching - just lay down on the floor, bring your arms over your head and stretch your entire body like crazy. Do this before going to bed too. 3. If you can, try skip roping in the evening. Jumping rope stimulates the sole, which increases growth hormone supply. Personally, I think this is was the most helpful method for me, and I recommend this really strongly. I did it 1000 times per night, but if you are not really into exercising, even about 200~300 times a day should help. 4. Avoid eating carbohydrates as much as you can and try to stick to proteins and calcium. too much carbohydrates stunt growth - according to a lot of articles. 5. Try to go to bed before 10pm. 10pm~2am is when your body secretes the highest amount of growth hormones. If you're awake at that time, all that growth hormones will be wasted. I've been doing those for about 10 months now and guess what, it really worked! I'm not completely sure whether it will work on you cos everybody's different, but have a go anyway. I mean, if I did it, I'm pretty sure you can too. Just needs a lot of patience and effort. Quite a lot of women grow until they are like, 25 years old. Even after that, it's possible to increase your height by about 4 inches- it's been scientifically proved. Don't be too stressed about your height - stress only stunts growth. 5'3 isn't THAT short. One of my friends is 4'9, or maybe even shorter than that. :P Be confident. Heaps of people are short - including a lot of celebs. Reese Witherspoon's only about 5'2. Hayden Panettiere and Rachel Bilson are about 5'1. You don't necessarily have to be tall to have a life. ^^ ... Even though I admit that being tall would be awesome.... ha ha Good Luck then. Really do hope you succeed ^^
  • I'm 27 and am 5'2", haven't grown since I was 14, none of the "growth methods" worked for me, I was healthy and active all my teenage years, followed all of those bogus articles, the doctor said that it was probably that I was hereditarily short due to my even shorter japanese relatives
