You might want to look into the governing body that monitors legal ethical behavior of attorneys in your state. Look for the licensing department of professional regulations in your state. The office is known by different names in eadh location, but if you call your state's Capital building courthouse, they should be able to lead you in the right direction. Just ask them what the name is of the watchdog group that monitors professional behavior of attorneys and issues their licenses. Then call them to ask how to file a complaint. At least, if you can't sue, you may at least have the satisfaction of having the attorney punished some other way. I know this because I have two daughters who are attorneys.
The original judge who made the decision? Now the decision was won by default. I wrote to the lawyer of the plantiff and asked for a reset of date because I needed to get a new atty. and I would not be in town. I recorded this and sent registered mail of my request. He ignored my request and I didn't know the procedures but I made an effort. He showed up and I didn't so ie.. default. What can be done about that?
Thank You for you response,
James
You can, finding a lawyer to do it may take some doing. Might have to hire one out of state. It will cost you a pretty penny. I think perhaps you should write to the judge who was on the bench first.

You're reading Can I sue my lawyer for malpractice if my case has already been settled? He asked that we remove a lien which he had written because that's what the others were asking for. We did and I was sued,he remove himself from case through the court .
