Help answer this question below.

My red eared slider turtle has a thin layer of green slimy stuff on his shell ( kind of looks like algae). He eats good,but likes to be in the water alot.Do you know what it is?

    It might be what you think (algae)

    See if scrubbing the shell gently with a toothbrush will remove it
