Don't go to Dorchester or Roxbury alone, and never at night.

1) Parking is a bitch. Other places merely require a sharp eye and a little luck to find a space, but in Boston you need a couple of ARMED friends to secure teh spot long enough for you to get into it. I wish I were kidding, but I've almost been hit before when as the person I was holding the space for was actually backing in. 2) It is expensive. If you earn less than $50,000/yr, you are NOT going to survive unless you live *well* outside of town and deal with a LONG commute. 3) Harvard Square ROCKS!!! (Unless you try parking there)
