I once had to take my computer in for a repair. It was in the shop for more than 2 weeks. During the first week, it felt like something vital was missing in my life. However, after one week, I got used to not having the Internet. Still, it didn't seem as fun or interesting without it. It was one of my "connections" to the outside world. Watching television didn't fulfill the same need.
After I got my computer back, I got back into my routine and I'm into it again, so I guess I am a bit addicted. Hehe.

I guess it depends on your definition of addiction. I spend many hours on the internet but when I am not on I do not have issues or withdraws to be back on. I never think about it when I am doing other things. So to me without any real cravings for it when I am not on. there is no addiction.
