If the scarf has a knot tied in the middle so it will fill my mouth then a scarf gag can work great!

Scarf gags are really more ornamental than practical, so I guess it depends on the goal...is it to silence effectively or just affect a particular look? BTW, cloth diapers make better cleave gags, especially if you tie a knot in the middle and insert a wadded up cloth in the mouth. Good question...+3
