  • My first ever drink was at three years old, and I down a pint of guiness. I had wine on odd occasions until I was 13, then I started getting drunk. I started with alcopops, but they weren't strong enough, and so I started my eternal love with tequila.

I went straight for the hard stuff! I tried a beer, but it was gross, and winecoolers just made my stomach hurt.

  • I am almost 40 years old and I have never knowingly drunk an alcoholic beverage. Personally, I have no desire to try it. I need all the brain cells that I have.
  • I was 12 and my big sister woke me up with a bottle of orange cisco. That stuff tastes like Sunkist man. How could I resist?
  • 15 years old/..... 13 shots of vodka.....ended up passing out somewhere, waking up 20 hours later and having to walk 5 miles home with a hangover...not a great experience, but I'm limiting myself now.....still love it, and won't stop soon.
  • I was 17 with a bottle of Jack...It hurt
  • Everyone always starts drinking alcohol illegaly. I guess it's easy to obtain alcohol from your parents. Well, to answer the question I'm 18 years old and never have drank in my life. The most I had was one sip of wine when I was 8 years old but I've never drank a full drink.
  • I don't remember how old I was when I had my 'first' drink, but I got served in pubs from the age of 14, and it was brandy and coke. Now I am 40 and rarely drink but when I do I like Vodka Twists (the lime ones)
  • i think the first time was at a family bbq, just a couple of lemon ruski's or something like that. i would've been about 14. i think my parents had decided i would be drinking soon enough anyway and that my first time should be at home.
  • The first time I ever tasted alcohol it was when I was about 12 and my parents let me try a sip of a wine cooler or maybe a champagne... I can't remember exactly. It was only a sip or two and I didn't like or dislike it. When I was about 15 I went through a shoplifting phase... my friend had a driver's license and one night we drove to several grocery stores where I shoplifted like two Zimas from each store. We took them to the parking lot behind this movie theater and drank them. That was the first time I got a buzz and I'm lucky that it wasn't my first trip to jail! When I was 17 I used a fake ID to get a job at this nightclub. Although I was underage to work there or drink it was quite easy to do and I got drunk quite a few times in the two months I worked there. If I remember correctly I mostly drank Sex on the Beach and Tom Collins.
  • I slept over my sisters when I was 15, she was 23. She had a keg and fuzzy navels. My mother told her not to let me drink, but we got hammered. It was the first time I drank. I don't drink too often anymore.
  • Well, when I was about 14, my mom let me have a sip of her red wine...But I don't think that counts, does it? Ok, when I was 17...(which I still am), I had some MD 20/20, and some Irish Rose, that I got a little tipsy on. Then I had some vodka, mixed with orange juice, and got drunk off of that. Now I just have shots of vodka, and drink cool-aid to make it go down easier.
  • At the age of 6, my Dad, (worthless as he was), gave me a Schlitz. Though I didn't start drinking then, it was my first. I drank half a can. I wanted so much to drink it all, showing how "grown-up" I was, but I couldn't. I actually, I started drinking semi-regular at around 15. I quit for good at the age of 40. I got tired of seeing ALMOST every car accident involving alcohol. How can ANYONE drink and drive, with all the verified stats that are out there? I know for a fact that it was a miracle many nights that I got home, after catching myself in the other lane, in the bar-ditch, or doing 15 m.p.h. in a 45 m.p.h. zone. I thank God every day that I didn't hurt someone. And, I was drinking just because everyone else was. How stupid.
  • I was 19 and it was a Tom Collins with a spash of grenadine and a couple of cherries.
  • I am 18 and the only alcohol I have ever consumed was during communion at church. The wine was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted.
  • I took my first alcohol when I had my first communion at 14, but it was only a sip. I married into an Italo-Australian family though, so my children got to sip a lot earlier than I did. Often, though, they don't even take up the offer of wine at dinner, even though they are now adults. Strange compared to my many cousins with alcohol problems.
  • My advice. Drink responsibly. There has been too many car wrecks where people have died because of drunk driving. If you are going to drink, only drink one or two, and slowly. Savor the drink. Don't drink to get drunk or tipsy.
  • I had wine at some communion in a Russian church my father took me to, but I didn't really drink of my own will until I was 13 or 14. It was saki, I think.
  • I started with Gin. I was 14 and trying to impress an older girl. I got really drunk, crashed out and puked all over myself. I guess it wasn't a good look, because she didn't seem impressed with me the next time she saw me! LOL

  • Age: 18 Setting: A concert. Drink: Smirnoff Ice. I'm not a big drinker. But I did like it, and have had it a few times since. The first time I tried it was when I was 15 or 16; I had a sip of bacardi, and sips of some other ones just to try them; I had never actually had a whole drink to myself. I had a sangria once, and I had my first whole 'bottled' drink...at least, I think it was the Blue October concert. It could have been before that, like at some bar or club or something. But yea, that's my experience.
  • It depends. Either: Age: About 5 years old (guessing here). Setting: Home Drink: Budweiser Beer Dad used to give me the first and last sips of his Bud if I fetched the can for him. He was throwing a party since his parents were out of town. Drink: One can of beer. It was enough for a major buzz. Spent the night at a friends house, so never caught. Despite my early start, I rarely drink today.

(Even more because I don't get the hang-over the next day.) It is a tad bit amusing when you're sober and you're watching all the drunk people talk and do silly.
  • Alcohol was legal in Wisconsin for anyone over 18. Cheap wine, Peppermint Schnaaps, apricot Brandy we weren't picky. Now, I like ice tea better then the drinks prepared, except when in the tropics, it's less expensive, less calories(w/sweet n'low), refills are free, and I always have a good next day.

I would say I must have been about 5 the first time. Also at grandma and grandpa house I would get a shot glass of beer on friday or saturday night if I spent the night and grandpa had beer. But the first time I got drunk was Blatz and I was 13. I didnt like puking so I mostly smoked weed.
  • Like 16 I recall wine coolers a favorite and an occasional beer

I drank at least a bottle and a half of champagne, I shotguned a few beers because my brother made me, and I had about thirty everclear soaked cherries. I don't know how I didn't get caught. My punishment was the five hour car ride home to Ohio the next day. haha
  • 13 on vacation in Germany with my family- Apfelwein, not bad. My mother a little bit gave me The Eye, but she didn't really care.
  • I have two answers to this. My first time was when i was really young, between 5 and 7. It was just a sip of my dad's beer that he let me try. I've also had various sips of wine from my mom. It was always red wine and I never liked it. When I was maybe 14 I had some champagne at new years. Then there was the first time without my parents. I was 15 and my friend and I made 'margaritas' They were really gross. I don't think we made them right. We never got caught. Since then I've had some wine mixed with cranberry juice (I was 16 and alone at home and was bored) and just today I mixed rum and orange juice. I was also just bored but this was the first time I actually had enough to feel something. A few minutes after I had it i felt really nauseous and had a horrible headache. My body also felt tired and weak. It was like an instant hangover. Oh, and I am currently 16 now.
