How long should you wait to have a a baby after losing one during delivery? The doctors say 6 months to a year, but what if your heart tells you different?

    Go with what feels best. If course, if the doctor says 6 months to a year, definitely don't try for a baby sooner than that, but don't feel obligated to try again sooner than you feel comfortable with.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. Assuming that your health and the health of a new pregnancy won't be at issue, then I say follow your heart- and of course, your partner's heart as well.
