once you get to a certain age of working, you can run on 6 hours for a normal day...it's worked for me in highschool and I was only 17-18!

Getting used to something doesn't mean it is ideal. Nine to ten hours is too much for most people, and most adults average far less than what the experts recommend. Millions of people operate on less than 8 hours and 'feel' fine, however, that doesn't mean it's optimal for good health. Insufficient sleep has been linked to a depressed immune system and countless other health problems and diseases.
