I was playing ps2 for about an hour and the game was saving fine then all of a sudden i came to a save point and it said error in memory slot one file may be corrupt i tried another game that is saved on that same memory card and it worked. whats wrong?

  Memory card for ps2 is not allowing me to go to a saved mission on gta 3 and just starts a new game. I deleted other games to have more room. I restarted ps2 and blew on the memory card. It didn't work. What might be wrong? and what do I have to do?
