  • I am not entirely sure, but I think it's sad that they edited a line from the movie "XXX" (the action movie starring Vin Diesel) to read "Don't be a dork, Dick", when the original line was, "Don't be a dick, Dick.". The character he was referring to was named Richard, so I think context has *something* to do with it, but... it just seems ridiculous.
  • What I call "social norms" defines them. While it is far from exact what that means is that the masses define what is acceptable. You can see this most clearly in smaller groups such as a group of teenage boys compared to a same number of elderly women where what each group would find acceptable would vary greatly. It would be nice in if there was a list that we could all follow but than who wants to behave like everyone else. One may be want to be aware that others are more sensitive to some language than others and you may not care.
