Why friday the 13th symbolizes bad luck?

    as with most superstitions this has some religous references

    Basically it is do to with Christ being crucified on a Friday and there being 13 people at the last supper (Christ and his 12 apostles)

    as with throwing salt over the let shoulder when you spill it (because thats where the devil sits)
