Apparently, they flock to England because witches and vampyres don't like the sun. ☺
I live in England and I can't say I've ever noticed them.
I don't know if there are any more witches there than in other places, because I haven't seen a study or anything. Most witches don't publicize or announce that they are witches, so even a study would not necessarily show the truth behind the matter.
However, if you meant Wiccans, then it's quite possible it's because Wicca was founded in England in the 1950s - so it has a bigger foundation there.
if you look the tag under thier hats it reads........... MADE IN ENGLAND
Because it's a magical place! All these lay lines, what d'you expect?
Come here my pretty, eat this lovely apple... all shiny and red on one side... hahahaha!! <<cackle>>
I don't think its a matter of there being so many witches in England as the fact that England is well known for the Witch hunts. If you follow this link it explains the history of witches.

i live in england, and i cant say i know any actual witches. some witchy people, and some girls that thougt they could do a little coven, but nothing like on the craft or antyhing.
i cant say i know any...........or do i?
Maybe they go there because nobody notices them there.
We can't burn them fast enough...JOKE!
Hahaha, it's not like the Harry Potter movies over here, you know.
There are? I didn't know that. I thought witches were mainly in New England in the good old U.S. of A in the "olden" days when they vilified people whom they didn't like or didn't understand. You mean that is not unique to America? That's good to know.
My lucky guess would probably be because there are so many caves out there where the sun doesn't shine..LOL
I've never noticed any but,I guess Hogwarts is near by and witchcraft is on a high there.Lol.
I was going to answer and then I realized that that was a w. sorry.
its the hot spot? :D

You're reading Why are there so many witches in England?

We witches are fine with the sun - it's the people that heavily push the "Son", that we're not fond of. It's a common mistake. ;)

haha, makes sense with the sun thing. but wouldnt it make more sense to go to antarctica?!
by littlegreycells on March 12th, 2009
It is true that Antarctica has six months of permanent night in winter but they also have six months of permanent daylight in summer. The only way it could work is if they make like the birds - in reverse - and fly up to the North Pole when its summer at the South Pole and vice versa ☺
