I'm in the US and sending a letter to Canada. Do I use one $0.37 stamp or a $3.85 Priority Mail stamp?

  • For a regular letter from the U.S. to Canada you can use a 37 cent stamp. They usually arrive within one week. A Priority will arrive sooner but do you really need it to?

Actually, neither. If it's a standard-size envelope and the weight is 1 ounce or less, you need to put $0.60 of postage on it for airmail letter post. It will take 4-7 days to arrive.

The US Postal Service has a great international postage calculator at http://ircalc.usps.gov/ This calculator will tell you all your options for different kinds of mail service, how much they cost, and how long they will take.
