  • I would think you have some say in the matter until she is at least 18 years old. Call the police (not 911!) or the superior court for juvenile matters and ask them. Tell them your situation. I married at the age of 17. I had to have my parents emancipate me by signing papers and going before a judge stating that I had already been taking care of myself financially and already had my own car and apartment to live in before I could because, even though I had not lived with them from the age of 16; technically they were still responsible for me.
