You're reading What is the likelihood that ozone layer depletion and climate change are at least partially caused by weakening of the earth's magnetic field?
Comments
I was just wondering because Uncle Cecil mentioned in a recent column that ' Recent research suggests that a weak magnetic field could lead to severe damage of the ozone layer, letting in more ultraviolet radiation and sharply increasing skin cancer rates'; http://www.straightdope.com/columns/070112.html. He is usually a reliable source.

Your link doesn't appear to be working.

jamesblack, just go to the straightdope homepage and search on 'magnetic field' - it should bring you to a list where you can find the article about the magnetic poles shifting.
