How do I losen up the Ganesborough lock on my front door? It's really stiff to open and I don't want to break off the key in the lock

I really don't know what a Ganesborough lock is, but most store sell a product like grafite. It lubs the lock and key, or you can get a HB pensil and shave the lead in it and rub the shavings into the lock and key, same thing.
