Males have REALLY long front nails compared to the nails on the back feet. So, if they have long front nails (and a longer, thicker tail), they're males. But, you often can't tell males from females until they're about 3.5-4.5" long in top shell length.

You're reading I have two RES. Both turtles vibrate their legs in each other's face. Does this mean they are both male or is this male and female?
